As a qualified Early Years teacher, childminder and play specialist, it wasn't until I found myself at home with little ones of my own during the first lockdown in 2020 that the idea for Parent Play School was born. As I watched families struggling for fun activities to get their children playing and learning at home, I thought "I can help with this!"

My mission is to equip parents with the knowledge and understanding to be able to provide a stimulating playful environment for their little ones at home, and to reignite their own love of play too.
To do this, my books and upcoming course go beyond simply sharing activity ideas, digging deeper into the whys and hows of child development. We give parents the tips and tricks used by Early Years experts, so that they can provide their children with the best possible
start and, most importantly, have fun together in the process.

to help you rediscover your playful side
as an adult

The idea for Parent Play School was born when I found myself stuck at home, as a mum to a rambunctious toddler in 'lockdown'.

For parents of young children, being unable to get out and about was particularly hard, and I watched as other mums and dads shared their struggles, quickly realising that as a qualified Early Years teacher I was at an advantage. I began sharing ideas for activities to keep little ones entertained, promote their learning and give parents the chance of a hot cuppa too. These grew into a digital mini-guide, which I sent out to the parents of my own Early Years setting and many others via our social media pages.

I believe that knowledge is power, and it was so heart warming to hear stories of parents using our guide to find new ways to play with their little ones. When I found out that I was pregnant with our second baby later that year, I decided to use my maternity leave to turn it into a full-length book, spending every nap time writing and editing. There are now two books in the series, with a third in the works. Hop on over to our book page to take a peek!
